waffle french toast.

i make these on a regular basis, so i figured i would share with all of you how i make it!

2 vans waffles (or whatever frozen waffles you prefer)
1/3 cup liquid egg whites or 3 egg whites (you can use whole eggs if you want!- if so, 2 whole eggs)
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

in a bowl mix egg whites, cinnamon and vanilla
in a medium size pan, set to medium heat
defrost each waffle in microwave for about 10 seconds, but not until hot or soggy, just until not frozen anymore
soak each waffle in egg white mixture
cook in pan until each side is golden brown
*note: before flipping, you can pour a little more egg whites into the uncooked side so it soaks more into the waffle
place in toaster or toaster oven to finish the cooking process (with waffles, sometimes it’s hard to get it cooked all the way through in the pan. with the toaster oven or toaster, it gives the waffles some crisp on the outside like waffles are supposed to have! then the inside is soft)
serve with banana, berries and/or syrup
good morning!
