bunny bait.

bunny bait.

for every holiday i try and think of something really cute to make. i kept seeing “bunny bait” on pinterest, and it was basically just a mixture of whatever you wanted drizzled in chocolate! so i picked an arrangement of eastery things to put together. i am going to hand them out to my close friends at pure barre and also to my family 🙂

1 large box chex cereal
1 bag reeses peanut butter chips
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 bags m&m speckled eggs
1 bag white chocolate chips
1 bag confetti white chocolate candy melts (i got them at joann fabrics)
2 boxes annie’s bunny grahams (whatever flavor! i used a mixture of honey, chocolate chip and chocolate)
rainbow sprinkles of any kind

muddy buddies:
i did this in two batches because there is a lot of cereal!
pour half of the cereal in a large mixing bowl
melt peanut butter chips in a double broiler
once melted, pour half of the melted peanut butter chips in with the chex cereal
carefully fold with a rubber spatula, making sure you’re not breaking too many chex!
once cereal is coated with peanut butter, add 1/4 cup powdered sugar and mix until coated
lay out on a baking sheet, spread evenly
repeat with second batch

bunny bait:
add all the other ingredients (except confetti candy melts and sprinkles) onto the muddy buddies, evenly spread and distributed onto baking sheets
once everything is spread out, melt confetti candy melts in the microwave, mixing every 30 seconds until all is melted (the reason i used a double broiler for the peanut butter chips is because the candy melts are designs to melt easily and regular chocolate chips don’t melt as well in the microwave)
pour melted confetti chocolate into piping bag with a small round attachment
drizzle chocolate over everything on the baking sheets, the chocolate will dry fast, so quickly add your sprinkles
transfer to a bowl for serving or tiny clear bags for family and friends!

happy easter!
